Sylvia Kleindinst

Posted from Irving, New York, in spring 1995, at first glance this card by Sylvia Kleindinst looks like the main image is done with a rubberstamp. On closer inspection, it's a collage of found images, over which Sylvia has affixed transluscent tissue in a marvelously uneven way that gives the image a degree of ghostliness & an antique feel. Amusingly, the young woman appears to be picking her teeth with chopsticks, though it's some oddball flute-like instrument I've never in my life seen. The address side has another collage.

Sylvia has put up a website about her beat era Corban LePell friend worth a gander.
