Mondex the frogdog (above) was a star participant in a dog costume contest early in 2008, in Manilla, the Philippines. The contest was part of a benefit for an animal welfare organization.

Mondex in his scuba diver get-up didn't actually scuba dive, but deserved his first-place prize just for being able to walk in the flippers.

At other contests Mondex took the prizes for an equally elaborate pirate costume (October 2008, shown below right), and in a Transformer Optimus Prime costume (October 2009, below left).
