Reginaldo at the Alamo (2003) was written and illustrated by Dr. Carvel E. Lincoln. It's an historical for children, about a chihuahua who leaves Mexico and visits Texas at the time of the battle of the Alamo.

It is not not at all sensitive to Mexicans, though being himself from Mexico you'd think Reginaldo would be a little less "Remember the Alamo!" jingoistic about things.
