The Oscar-winning, Chuck Jones-directed Warner Brothers cartoon classic Scent-Imental Over You (1947) stars the skunk and seducer Pepe le Pew (Mel Blanc) and the object of his affection, a chihuahua voiced by Bea Benaderet.

Embarrassed, among uptown dogs, to have so little fur, the chihuahua glues a skunk stole to herself, only to discover that all the dogs in her ritzy neighborhood run from her.

She feels unloved, and begins to weep. But soon Pepe is on the scene wooing and harrassing the little dog-skunk. She struggles to escape his lust, until at last a surprise conclusion finds them both in love.
