Previous Next Clingy and Tiny

Temporarily named "Clingy Tan Chi" (left) and "Long Tall Tiny" (right), Clingy and Tiny are two of 100 chihuahuas rescued by the Southern Oregon Humane Society from two overcrowded shelters in Fresno and Clovis.

It took two hours to load and unload the chihuahuas into two vehicles. But when a winter storm arose closing the I-5 highway. Emergency housing was needed, as it was far too cold to risk the chihuahuas' health in unheated vans.

The Oregon shelter had only two dogs in it early in January 2010, so there was plenty of room for the dogs, and plenty of eager families waiting to adopt, one day later than expected.
