November Portrait of
'White Icicle' Flowering Currant

White Icicle

'White Icicle' flowering currant does not always have good
autumn colors, sometimes just being spotty brown
& washed-out yellow before leaves fall. This specimen
has three main trunks, & two of the trunks turned
brown & dropped all the leaves by October's end,
but the youngest of the three trunks kept its leaves
through most of November, & took on an especially
nice golden glow as in this November 20th shot.

Ribes sanguineum 'White Icicle' Flowering Currant Page
& for its enpurpled winter limbs, see
'White Icicle' Currant Page along the Winter Bark Garden Walk
& for the fruit, see the
'White Icicle' Currant page in the Drupes & Berries Gallery.
