November portrait of
Young's Weeping Birch

Weeping Birch

Weeping White Birch, shown here in mid November, is one
of the last trees to lose its leaves in autumn & among the
first to regain them in spring. At its height of winter color
it tends to be a pleasant if rather plain yellow,
but it also has the starts of its winter catkins,
so in fact it's a lovely thing in every season.

Weeping Birch

Here's a portrait at November's end,
just before the majority of leaves fell.
In some years the leaves fall a week or two sooner.

There are more autumn as well as
winter portraits of this tree & its winter catkins on the:
Young's Weeping Birch in Winter page
plus there are several more pictures including of
matured male catkins plus spring's female flowers on the:
Young's Weeping Birch in Springtime page
