Garden Walk
of Bark & Limbs in Winter

Akebia Vine

Akebia

Akebia vines are partially evergreen, though in the Northwest,
only a very few leaves cling all through winter, & it is
otherwise about four-fifths deciduous. The older vine-limbs
become quite woody over time, wound around trellis or arbor
in brownish shade of orange

For more about this shrub, see the pages about
Akebia quinata in flower
