'The Honorable Jean Marie de Montague' is one
of the most sun-hardy of rhododendrons. It is shown
in May in a sunny garden by the sidewalk, where it has
protection from the sun only during the first half of the day.
A large-leafed evergreen ironclad rhody, it produces
extravagant large trusses of deep red trumpets.
