Gallery of Winter Berries

December portrait of
Western Snowberry

The Snowberry bush loses all its leaves toward the end of
autumn, then for several weeks of winter the otherwise
bear grey twigs sport pure while round berries.
The evergreen leaves intruding into the photo
are from a nearby Camellia japonica.

See how this same shrub looks before leaf-fall in the
Snowberries Page of the Drupes & Berries Gallery
And for a great deal about this shrub in general, see the main
Symphoricarpos albus page
