'Black Swan' Beech

Black Swan

The 'Black Swan' Beech is famed for its its blue-black
leaves of summer & for its weeping structure,
the latter most visible in winter when leaves have fallen.
In this December rain-day portrait, the mottled trunk
is wet from rain to the leeside.

For more about this three, see the primary
Fagus sylvatica 'Black Swan' Page
& see also the
'Black Swan' page of the autumn trees gallery
